Who is Amethyst Drake?
Amethyst Drake has been making up stories her whole life, shaped by classic detective and espionage fiction from Agatha Christie to Columbo. What she loves most is building characters you won’t forget and pushing them to their emotional and psychological limits.
Her Carson Crime Files series builds a world where no one is entirely clean and nothing is as simple as it seems, and forges a team whose shared history runs as deep as their cases. Following former intelligence operative Katherine Carson as a Baltimore private detective, the series draws on personal experience with grief and trauma to tell stories about what people owe each other when the truth is complicated. The Scheme and Framed have both been awarded the prestigious indie B.R.A.G.
